Description

We would like to inform you of important compliance requirements issued by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on 20th August 2024 and 16th February 2024, aimed at curbing unauthorized activities and misuse of telecom resources. Please find attached detailed TRAI Directions. Key Points to Note: 1. As per the latest TRAI Directions, all Principal Entities (PEs) are required to disclose the entire chain involved in SMS communication, including the Telemarketer-Aggregation function and Telemarketer-Delivery Function, between the PE and OAP (Originating Access Provider). 2. According to Clause 10(c) of the TRAI Directive dated 20th August 2024, effective from 1st November 2024, all messages must be traceable. Any message where the telemarketer chain is undefined or incomplete will be rejected by Telecom Service Providers (TSPs). 3. The TRAI Directions will be implemented starting 1st November 2024 across all TSP’s. 4. DLT portal will be live today post 2 PM IST to register the complete telemarketer chain (PE → Telemarketer-Aggregation Function → Telemarketer-Delivery Function → OAP) on our platform. 5. Please ensure your respective chains are prepared and ready for registration. We strongly recommend registering well before 1st November 2024 to avoid any message delivery disruptions. 7. The entire chain, from PE to OAP must be registered on the DLT platform with all telemarketers involved being included in the declared chain. The chain from PE to OAP for message delivery could be through a single Telemarketer with delivery function or through a multi-party chain of Telemarketer Aggregation Function - Telemarketer Delivery Function. 8. The total number of TMs in a chain should be maximum 3 (which includes the Telemarketer-Delivery Function). 9. Further instructions and steps (user manual) to register the telemarketer chain will be shared with you at earliest. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please ensure compliance by the deadline to avoid any interruptions in your messaging services. Please follow the below Process Overview: · Log in to the DLT Portal · Select the “Manage Telemarketer Relationship” or Telemarketer Request tab and choose “Create New Chain Request.” · Enter the DLT ID of your corresponding Telemarketer ID : 110200001293 | IMI Mobile Cloud Communications Pvt Ltd and the name will auto-populate (please verify before submission). · After submitting the request, inform the Telemarketer to acknowledge it on their DLT login.
